On March 2, 2005 DC Habitat held a happy hour at The Saloon, located at 1207 U Street NW. Over 100 people were in attendance to learn about our mission and to mingle with members of the staff and volunteers. In addition to supporting DC Habitat, 10% of the donations collected were given to Habitat for Humanity Sri Lanka. This money will be used to aid rebuilding efforts in the aftermath of the devastating tsunami. Thanks to all those who attended and helped make the event a success. |
