The Home for the Holidays Build-a-thon started on Tuesday, November 30th and culminated with a home dedication celebration for the Brown, Cohen, and Smith families on Saturday, December 4th. Volunteers were on the jobsite for each of the five days leading up to the dedication. In addition to working on the homes, every volunteer committed to raise at least $100 dollars to help DC Habitat in its mission to build affordable housing in the District for those in need. The Build-a-thon was a success with three homes being completed so that three families could truly be home for the holidays.
