On May 14th volunteers from Casey Trees (below) planted trees in the yards of recently completed DC Habitat homes.
Casey Trees was created in 2001 to help restore the the tree cover of Washington DC, which has suffered a dramatic loss over the past 30 years. Last tree planting season (October - May), Casey Trees planted 712 new trees throughout the district.
