DC Habitat for Humanity needs your help today.
We have six homes almost complete. We have six families hoping to cook turkey, hang a wreath on the door and give thanks
for all of the blessings in their lives.
But there might not be six homes ready for the holidays if we don't raise the money we need NOW to
buy the materials to complete the six houses.
Will you help?

| Hanley Wood and The Carlyle Group Team Builds
|
|
In September, Hanley Wood employees volunteered two days at our construction site.
Hanley Wood is a leading-edge business-to-business media and information company reaching audiences in residential housing and commercial construction.
They have four operating divisions that: produce magazines and Web sites, trade shows, and events: collect, analyze, and interpret industry data; and create customer marketing solutions.
Frank Anton, Hanley Wood's CEO, said "This company and its employees share a committed relationship with Habitat
for Humanity to bring housing to people in need.
Local Team Building Days are just a small part of Hanley Wood's commitment to Habitat. Among other initiatives, Hanley Wood is a national underwriter of HFHI's Congress Building America (CBA) program. CBA highlights the importance of volunteerism in producing new, affordable single-family homes and seeks to raise national awareness regarding the issue of affordable housing.
Hanley Wood also is involved in HFHI's Home Builders Blitz. During the blitz, professional home builders and Habitat
for Humanity affiliates in communities across the United States will work alongside volunteers to build 1,000 affordable homes.

The Carlyle Group sponsored two Team Building Days in October.
The Carlyle Group is one of the world's largest private equity firms, with more than $75.6 billion under management. With 55 funds across four investment disciplines (buyouts, venture & growth capital, real estate and leveraged finance), Carlyle combines global vision with local insight, relying on a top-flight team of more than 500 investment professionals operating out of offices in 21 countries to uncover superior opportunities in North America, Europe, Asia, Australia, the Middle East/North Africa and Latin America.
One of the superior opportunities The Carlyle Group has uncovered locally is Team Building with DC Habitat. In their second year as a volunteer team, the Carlyle employees raised the funds to sponsor their day as well as donating their now well-honed building skills.
