Team Building |

|
Employees from Mooring Financial Corporation participated in a build day on April 13th at DC Habitat for Humanity's 53-home development in Northeast Washington. DC Habitat empowers low-income working families to buy affordable, volunteer-built Habitat homes, revitalizing their neighborhoods and strengthening their futures.
Mooring Financial Corporation employees exhibited great teamwork as they broke up into smaller groups led by Habitat coordinators. They strapped on their loaded tool belts, safety glasses and gloves to assist with various stages of construction
.
Mooring Financial Corporation actively supports giving back to the community and has a long history of corporate giving. In conjunction with this event, Mooring Financial Corporation donated $5,000 to Habitat for Humanity DC.

DC Habitat on the March
28th Annual MLK Parade |
|
Intrepid volunteers braved the spring snow April 7th to march in the 28th Annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Parade.
DC Habitat volunteers and staff pushing wheelbarrows and carrying other construction props joined more than 30 floats, bands and other participants to celebrate our community.
The PR Committee spreads the word about DC Habitat's work to end poverty housing at parades, street fairs and other community activities throughout the spring, summer and fall.
If you are interested in joining the committee, contact committee chair Kristen Henry kristenhenry@hotmail.com
