The Public Relations Committee informs the general public about the work that DC Habitat for Humanity is doing in the District of Columbia and ways to get involved as a volunteer, donor, or homeowner. PR Committee Members engage in community outreach activities that include developing marketing materials, maintaining the DC Habitat website, conducting media outreach, staffing information tables at neighborhood festivals, organizing social events, developing the DC Habitat newsletter, and supporting DC Habitat events such as home dedication ceremonies.
The PR Committee has four sub-committees: Home Dedications, Newsletter, Social Events, and Neighborhood Events. PR Members stay active and updated on projects through monthly Committee meetings and weekly email updates.
