A Freddie Mac Team Build
Team Builds
Team Builds are our most popular volunteer activity. No experience is required! We schedule groups of volunteers ages 16 and up to work on our build sites Tuesdays through Saturdays, year round. A workday typically runs from 8:15 am to 4:00 pm.
Teams may also choose to volunteer on an exterior home renovation project through our A Brush with Kindness (ABWK) program.
Many resources are needed to build and preserve affordable housing, including land, materials, financial donations and volunteers. When your group offers to help build or repair a home, we ask you to provide a combination of these resources. Groups are typically asked to contribute $5,000 to $10,000, depending on number of people, for a team build day and $1,000 for an ABWK project. We depend on these contributions to purchase the materials necessary to build and repair our homes. Learn more by visiting our Give Section.
