Capital Women Build Initiative of DC Habitat for Humanity

The Capital Women Build Initiative's mission is to demonstrate the power of women in the Nation's Capital to build homes and foster community. Capital Women Build will accomplish this by raising funds and building homes on DC Habitat for Humanity’s newest 53-home development. The group is working to raise $100,000 through donations and events such as the Gingerbread Gala and Capital Women Build build-a-thon to build the first home during 2005. The initiative is also seeking co-sponsors of $2,500 and above to help raise funds for the house.
