DC Habitat will be holding a Women Build this Mother’s Day!

We’re looking for a few good women to join Habitat for Humanity of Washington, D.C. for two very special Women Build events this May: an open build for all women on Friday, May 8 and a special Mother’s Day build on Saturday, May 9 for teams of mothers, grandmothers, children, and grandchildren!

What is women build?

National Women Build Week is a nationwide initiative of Habitat for Humanity’s Women Build program developed in partnership with Lowe’s. Last year, more than 13,000 women, including Lowe’s Heroes from across the country, volunteered at Habitat for Humanity construction sites. Help us make this year’s National Women Build Week even better!

How can I get involved?

Participation in this year’s Women’s Build includes:

  • One build day with DC Habitat during Women Build
  • Women Build t-shirts and goodies
  • Breakfast and lunch on site
  • Opportunity to attend exclusive Women Build Clinics at Lowe’s to learn the ropes before your build day
Fundraise:

We want to make sure that this year’s Women Build has a huge impact on our families and our communities. That’s why we are asking each participant to donate or fundraise $50. To start fundraising, or make your $50 donation, visit our Crowdrise page.

If you have any questions, or want to get involved, contact PK at paulakatrina.drago@dchabitat.org.

DC Habitat believes that everyone deserves a house they want to call home. That's why we work to eliminate poverty housing and homelessness in the nation's capital by building (and rehabilitating) affordable, energy- and resource-efficient homes for people in need.
